We Need Your Help!
My husband, Dan, had the privilege of going to Ethiopia last December with a man from our church whose father was a missionary there for many years. Ethiopia is a beautiful country with people whose hearts and smiles immediately welcomed him. I can see the difference the trip made in his life, and my prayer is that God will use Dan to be his hands and feet.
While he was there, he learned of the Opow people group. The Opow's have no written language and, therefore, do not have a Bible in their own language. Previously, any visitors to the Opow's had to cross a mile-long swamp to reach the village.

| Beginning the walk to the swamp... Now, there is a ROAD to the Opow village! Praise the Lord! |
The children in our vacation Bible school this past year raised money to send one student, David, to the Bible school so that the Opow's would have a pastor who spoke their own language. The Opow people are in desperate need of a church building. The previous building they had was completely eaten by termites. All that is left of their church building is a couple of sticks.

| This is literally all that remains of the Opow's church building. The building only stood for two years before the termites ate the majority of it. Everything else just fell down... |

Dan is going back to Ethiopia in January to aid in building a new church for the Opow people. The new church will be built primarily from sheet metal to protect it from termites. First, he needs your prayers that God would guide him as he is there, for safety, and for everything to go smoothly with building the church. He also needs to raise $1500-2000 for transportation costs, and he doesn't have much time. Would you prayerfully consider making a tax-deductible donation? All donations go through our local church and will be put toward the cost of his airfare to Ethiopia. Any additional money raised will be used to buy building supplies and/or donated to the Opow Bible school student fund. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Please email me or my husband (dmoo@embarqmail.com) for the mailing address for our church. THANK YOU!

And He will repay him for his good deed."

I want to say a big thank you to Warren Baldwin, who is donating a portion of the sale of his book, Roaring Lions and Cracking Rocks and other Gems from Proverbs to help support Dan's trip. Please use this link to order and let him know you are visiting from my blog.
