A Heart For Achile
Right now there is a little, 8-year-old boy in Burkina Faso, West Africa that needs a miracle. I believe with every bit of my being that God is able to perform miracles. The same God who created this universe, parted the Red Sea, and sent His Son to die and rise to life again is the same God in complete control today. I also believe that people can be instruments, used by God, to perform His mighty works.
Today, we can all be used by God to help this young boy in a truly life-changing, life-giving way. Please consider doing anything that you can to help him. As a mother, my heart aches for any sick child. Just knowing that his parents are helpless to do anything to better his situation is absolutely heart-wrenching. They are in desparate need, and are crying out to God, and to you and me, to come along beside them and help their precious child.
Achile is an 8-year-old boy in Burkina Faso with a congenital heart defect known as tetralogy of Fallot. Because of Achile's heart condition, he has been in pain for five years and hasn't been able to attend school regularly.
Compassion International has provided medical care for Achile for the last two years at the National Teaching Hospital Yalgado Ouedraogo in Burkina Faso in western Africa. However, doctors there now believe his condition requires urgent heart surgery, which is not available in Burkina Faso. Achile will be transported to a specialized hospital in India for a lifesaving operation that will cost $20,449.
This need is urgent, and I ask you to prayerfully consider donating here to Achile's family. $20,000 is a huge amount of money, even for those of us in the U.S. However, for his family in Burkina Faso, this is an absolutely unreachable amount for them to raise alone.
"If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need
but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?
Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue
but with actions and in truth." 1 John 3:17-18
Thank you and may God bless you richly!
Melanie

Melanie:
How did you personally learn of this boy's needs? I'm truly interested in knowing.
