What Is a Mom?

To celebrate Mother's Day, I want to take a moment to thank my mom for being such a great mom and to honor all the moms everywhere who put all their love and energy into raising their children. You have taught me more than you will ever know, and I hope to follow in your footsteps and make you proud. Love, Mel.

My Mama - Thank you, I love you!
Dan's Mom who I am so thankful for!

My Mammaw, my Hero... who smiles through tears, has the loving spirit of Christ Himself, and whose humor makes me laugh 'til I snort! :-)

My "little sister" becomes a Mommy

Being a mom is so special, and I am very thankful for my sweet boys who have taught me how special life is to to cherish each moment. I love you, Isaac & Jeremiah! I'm so proud to be your mommy!

From the moment you were born, you stole my heart... (Mommy & Isaac)
~ "Making the decision to have a child is momentous.
It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around
outside your body" -- Elizabeth Stone ~

I enjoy each smile and each day with you, even when I say I'm about to go to the "nervous hospital" :-)

I've learned many new things since becoming your mommy....
like how to push two swings at once...

... and how to be a good "potty time" reader...

I pray for each of you every day. I know that God has big plans for each of you, and my dream is for you to live for Him and trust and love Him fully. Everything else will take care of itself, and God will hold you in His mighty hand.

LOVE IT! This is the first mother's day that I feel like a "real" mom and it's so special how that has changed my view of the two mom's in my life and my grandma's! I love that quote about having your heart walk around outside your body...I never knew being a Mom would feel this vulnerable, scary, and wonderful all at the same time! :) Happy Mother's Day to you!
